Vacancy: Assistant Site Manager

Location:
Site Based, West Midlands & Surrounding Counties.

The initial assignment will be to assist our site project manager with the build of 81 timber frame new affordable homes in Telford.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications Required:
To succeed in this role you will need to have experience of assisting or supervising the build of new build housing.

You will need to be experienced at assisting the site manager / project manager with managing the build, monitoring quality, managing sub-contractors and materials, and using your own initiative to ensure that project delivery deadlines are met and the highest standards of site safety and build quality are maintained. You will ideally have experience of Timber Frame / Modern Methods of Construction.

Our company is virtually paper free and makes extensive use of IT systems to streamline our operations, so you will need to be proficient in the use of IT including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ideally you will be someone that has the ambition, drive and skills to grow with us and progress into a Site Management role.

To demonstrate your capability you will ideally hold the following qualifications;

  • CSCS Gold Card (Supervisory) or Black card (Construction Site Manager – Residential)
  • SSSTS
  • First Aid at Work
  • NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or 4
  • Scaffold Awareness and Inspection
  • Experience of Timber Frame Construction

It would be useful if you also have;

  • CPCS Telescopic Handler A17 Wheeled
  • CPCS Slinger/signaller/banksman A40
  • Asbestos Awareness
