Development

St Peters View is a development of 30 new homes that Wonderful Homes constructed for Midland Heart Housing Associations as a Land, Design & Build package. The development was part funded by Homes England – the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. The completed development provided a selection of new affordable homes that were available to buy or rent.

  • Six of the new homes were available to buy through shared ownership, the remaining 24 were available to rent. Sales and tenancies were agreed on all of the homes prior to completion of the build.

The completed development consisted of;

  • Six 2-bedroom bungalows
  • Twelve 2-bedroom semi-detached houses (Two were available to buy through shared ownership)
  • Twelve 3-bedroom semi-detached houses (Four were available to buy through shared ownership)

Construction started in February 2020 and residents started moving into the first new homes in late March 2021, with construction completed in early July 2021.

This was a fairly challenging development due to the sloping nature of the site and significant earthworks / reprofiling of the land required, and the fact that vast majority of the build was carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.
