Development
Randle Drive, Overdale, Telford is a development of 81 new homes that we constructed under JCT Design & Build contract for GreenSquareAccord Housing Association.
In it’s distant past the site had been an open cast coalmine, that was last worked in 1948, and was subsequently backfilled. Randle is a type of coal that was mined in the area (part of the Coalbrookdale Coalfield), hence the name given to the new road. More recently the site had been used as a horse paddock, with the lower part of the site being overgrown scrub land.
The completed development provides a selection of new affordable rent homes, consisting of:
- 24 x 2-bedroom houses
- 30 x 3-bedroom houses
- 9 x 4-bedroom houses
- 18 x 1-bed apartments
Construction started in late summer 2021 and the the final new homes were handed over in March 2025.
